GARDEN GROVE, Calif.– CTS Cement Manufacturing Corp., manufacturer of professional-grade Rapid Set® calcium sulfoaluminate (CSA) cement, introduces a new formulation of one of its most popular products.
Like Rapid Set® Cement All®, Rapid Set® Cement All® Plus is a single-component (just add water) multipurpose general and structural concrete repair material that can be used in anchoring and doweling, formed work, and vertical and horizontal trowel applications. And its durability in wet environments means it’s well-suited for marine as well as airport, highway and industrial projects.
Both products can be applied from featheredge to 4 inches (10 cm) thick. Both adhere extremely well to stone, brick, block and stucco in addition to concrete. Both provide excellent freeze/thaw performance for longer-lasting repairs in areas that experience significant temperature fluctuations. Both are installed using traditional placement methods and can be floated or broom-finished in addition to troweled.
However, Rapid Set® Cement All® Plus provides three additional benefits. It’s:
“We’re very excited about this brand extension,” says Vice President of Product Development Matt Sambol. “With about 20 minutes of working time, it’s more user-friendly – especially in warm weather. And, at 4000 psi in 3 hours, it still exceeds the early strength requirement of ASTM C928 R3 [Standard Specification for Packaged Dry Rapid-Hardening Cementitious Materials for Concrete Repairs].”
Cement All® Plus is a blend of Rapid Set® hydraulic cement, additives designed to match the color of typical existing portland-cement concrete and specially graded fine aggregates. It is non-metallic and no chlorides are added. To use, simply mix with water to produce a workable, high-quality material.
Available: Now at White Cap and other building material dealers.
